IPad blogging

Happy Sunday! I am testing out blogging from my iPad today. My laptop is on the fritz and I wanted to see how my iPad would work! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I {heart} Mason jars!

Mason jars are sooooo southern Summer deliciousness to me.

When I think Texas Summers....I think sweet tea in a Mason jar.

I made some this week...with lemon.

It was divine.

I actually have an entire Mason jar mug set with a big pitcher I bought at a thrift store a few years ago. It's perfect for sweet tea...or lemonade!

Look at this CUTE idea!! Ahh...can't you just see all the possiblities!

It’s Friday! Whooohoooo!

Ours has been--Jax and I went junkin’ this morning to find vinyl records for a craftie project I am working on for a Senior photo shoot this weekend. Isn’t this hilarious?

I really just needed this….

She wanted Beatles inspired images so we shall see what I come up with! Of course they didn’t have any Beatles vinyl, but my alternative plan is going to be pretty cute. I’m pretty excited, it’s going to be SUPER fun!

I also found some CA-UTE goodies while junkin’. Today was a GOOD thriftin’ day!

Guess what this is?

I thought it was a blanket. I’m a SUCKER for knitted/crocheted blankets and throws at the thrift store. They make WONDERFUL backdrops for newborn and kiddo shoots. I also LOVED the POM-POMS!

It’s a SHAWL! Ha ha ha ha! It was taped in a bundle so I didn’t know it’s true form til we were home. I still love it. Who knows I might just wear it!

Scored some vintage Pyrex too. YES!

Happy Monday!

Hey friends! Hope you had a MARVELOUS weekend. I sure did! It was busy, hectic and a smidgen stressful...but overall pretty fantastic. I can't believe we are at yet another Monday. Goodness gravy! And I don't know about you but I could use a few extra hours this week to get my very long to-do list done. *sigh*

To add to the chaos in our world, it seems like it's Murphy's Law Monday around here too! For starters, as Jax and I were feeding his fishie this morning, we knocked over his entire fish tank. I think fish water is totally DISGUSTING and it was all over my entire kitchen cabinets. Oh. My. Goodness. Ha ha ha!

What a week!

I am truly sorry for the lack of posting around here in Easie Peasie land. We've been running around like crazy it seems. I'm swamped with work and grad school stuff. It seems like every time I look up another week has passed by. I've also not had time to do anything creative in the least. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Jax and I have colored and painted. But other than than we have been SUPER BUSY! I have a weekend class in Alpine this weekend which I'm super happy about, and maybe after that I can get back to my normal blogging routine. I did want to share a few sneak peeks of a super cute newborn session I did last week while in Alpine. Oh how I love newborn sessions.

Aren't they just a precious family! I really enoyed getting to know them and capturing all that sweetness.

Keep Jax and I in your prayers...we are doing great but could use a little extra prayers to get through this very BUSY and CHALLENGING week!

Helloooooooo! All the way from ALPINE, TEXAS!

Okay so I know I get the SUPER BAD blogger award this past week. But in my defense I have been working my hine-oooooskie off for a graduate research symposium for school.

Remember my Thoreau project I told you guys about last Fall? Well, I was picked to do a presentation of it for the 2012 Graduate Research Showcase this week at Sul Ross. It was such a HUGE HONOR and I loved every second of it. But, it was a lot of work and ANXIETY getting ready for it. To date, that is the largest group of non-students that I have ever spoken in front of. AAAAAH! =) I thought I might pass out...or throw up! I survived though! And it was FANTASTIC to say I conquered it! Yay!

So as you can see...I am here this week....my favorite place. Alpine, Texas! ((and I don't have class. Yay!! That will be next week! LOL!))

As you can see I'm having a large time in one my favorite places! I am actually working on a blog post for the Texas Tourism Board of this area...so I get to show you all my favorite spots...and what makes this such a MARVELOUS place to visit! How exciting!!!
