Weekend Fall Craft Project Ideas for Kids

Yay it’s Friday! We survived the week! I hope you did as well!

I found some really cute Fall projects that I want to do with Jaxon this season. I’m hoping to get at least one done this weekend! So far we haven’t had time to make any Fall crafties, and I really want to get a few done soon. Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

Christmas mini-sessions!

This past weekend I did my annual Christmas mini-sessions. It was a blast! I had 14 sessions for the weekend and to say I was exhausted was an understatement! But I so loved spending time with each family. I have the BEST clients! Here are a few shots from the sessions….

My Ninja turtle will be having a large time tonight at the Halloween carnival here in town. Train rides, skits, candy, games and so much more. I can’t wait to see his face when he sees it all!

Halloween orange treats…

It’s me! Can you believe? I am again sorry for not keeping in touch with you guys lately. To say I am swamped, overwhelmed and exhausted is an complete understatement. But we are trudging though…and so BLESSED!

Tomorrow is my day to prepare the hot meal for Jaxon’s class. His Montessori school does Hot Meal Friday’s in which one parent volunteers to make the class lunch. Tomorrow is my day…and I just finished cooking. I wanted to be done…so I’m not in panic mode in the morning.

On the menu:

♥Spaghetti

♥Baby carrots + ranch dressing

♥Mandarin oranges

 

At first I couldn’t think of what to make for a sweet treat. Sugary desserts aren’t allowed in Jaxon’s class so I almost just did a fruit salad. I wanted to make something Halloweenish…but was stumped.

Thanks to Pinterest…I found the idea to use a Sharpie marker and decorate mandarin orange bowls. LOVE IT!

I just put them in a pumpkin candy thingy…and they will be PERFECT!

And by the way….20 mandarin cups fit in this bowl.

I love how cute they are! I love that they were so easy mostly!!

Whew!!

I’m off to wash dishes…clean my kitchen….and do homework!

My Fall wreath…

So I need to mention that I it is Midterm week.

Yes. That means tests, essays and zero time for blogging or fun stuff.

Well sort of.

I had to take a stress break…and craft something.

So….I finally made a Fall wreath. Well sort of.

It’s not totally Fallish…but for me…it is just what I had in mind.

I had a lot of vintage fabric sitting on a shelf waiting to be brought to life and so I used it for the majority of the construction.

I actually used pipe insulation for the body. I just duct taped it together and it worked great.

As for the jazzies…I just used what I had in my craft stock pile.

 

Jax and I also painted our pumpkins this week. I don’t know if we will ever carve pumpkins again…painting is so much more fun. And less slimy and messy.

Jaxon loved painting his. He wanted more to paint actually.

Hey y’all! How’s it going?

Is it really half way through October?

Oh my goodness!

Did you have a great weekend?

We sure did! We went hiking at McKittrick canyon with my sweet parents and enjoyed the Fall foliage.

This was Jaxon’s second year to hike this trail. He did so awesome!

It was so nice to be away from everything…no cell phone service…no Facebook…no email. Just peace and quiet.

And now it’s back to reality. Work…homework…editing photos…and all the things we do to make our lives go round and round!

Dandelions....

Hey y'all!
Just thought you might want to know we are around! Haven't been here lately in blog world...but we are around! LOL!
Oh my word!! Is it as busy in your world as it is here? Who am I kidding...of course it is!!

I had two senior sessions this weekend...thought I would share a few goodies from the shoots.

 

We had SO MUCH FUN!

While we were finding a perfect spot in the pasture of flowers I saw this precious dandelion covered in raindrops. This pictures makes me smile everytime I look at it.

 

 

Don't you just love all the little orbs of happiness rain?? I am so random...I always find crazy things like this to capture. Lol.

Cute Fall decorations

Happy Monday!

Did you have a GREAT beginning of Fall this weekend?

We sure did.

Jax and I rested, watched cartoons, cleaned a little, went to Mass, took naps..and just enjoyed staying home and relaxing.

Since it is now officially Fall I thought we should celebrate by ooing-and-aaaahing over some cute decorations!!
