Monday Home Blessing Hour and Zone Cleaning

Happy Monday! Hope you guys had a WONDERFUL weekend! Where did it go? In a blink, it’s Monday all over again.

As promised, I am giving you my list of cleaning for the week including today’s Weekly Home Blessing Hour cleaning and this week’s Zone Cleaning. All of these are from Fly Lady’s cleaning system and to learn more you can go HERE.

When I get home from work today I will spend one hour doing the Weekly Home Blessing cleaning list. FlyLady says you should look at cleaning as blessing your home and family. Pretty awesome right?

The Weekly Home Blessing will have your home sparkling and you will have a clean house to start the week off with.

Ready to bless your home in one hour?
Here’s how:
1. Vacuum (every room)
2. Dust (every room)
3. Mop (every room)
4. Polish Mirrors and Doors
5. Purge magazines
6. Change Sheets
7. Empty all trash
Each task should take 10 minutes or less, and when you are done your casa is clean and ready to go for another week! I don’t have any magazines to purge so I eliminate that from my list. You can change it up for what works for you. It’s probably a little clean-Mamma-dorky but I love Monday Weekly Home Blessing time. It something I can get done quickly and it makes a huge impact!

Okay so after you bless your home, this week is Zone #1 for detailed cleaning. Zone #1 includes: The Entrance, Front Porch and Dining Room. I do not have a dining room and my entrance is my living room so I will adjust these to fit how my home is set up. The key to zone cleaning is you spend 15 minutes a day detailed cleaning in that zone. Here are the detailed cleaning lists for each area.

The entire concept behind Zone Cleaning throughout the month is so you never have to Spring/Deep clean again. Your house will stay clean year-round using this system. And it’s not overwhelming. Whew!

So sometime today I will work on at least one item from the list for my porch. I was able to work on my yard Friday of last week so I’ve already had a little time to clean off my windows, door and sweep the porch. I also conquered mowing my yard last week so I can mark that off of my Fall to-do list as well. Here’s my backyard and studio…freshly mowed. If you only knew how tall my weeds were before last week! Oh my word!! And it flooded again this weekend so I will be doing yet another mowing soon. ☺

You may not feel like adding another 15 minutes to your cleaning today and that’s okay! Tomorrow see what you can get done in 15 minutes. By the end of the week you will have a clean and shiny entrance, dining room and front porch! It’s a great time to go ahead and get your Fall yard/porch decorations out too!

Have a GREAT and BLESSED day!
XoXo,
Tiffany

It seems so simple when you read it. I'm like, yeah, i can spare an hour to do all the things on the list, but then I get distracted and/or not motivated at all!

Your porch looks nice and tidy. And you have a big yard!

I may have to really try and get motivated to start cleaning the different zones in my house!
