As you all know, I've been SUPER excited about reviewing a new Olay product.
YAY! Today is the day for the BIG REVEAL!
I recruited my BFF to help me do the review, and we had a great time with some GREAT laughs.
First of all, getting older means you start getting a little heavy on the granny facial hairs. There. I said it. Facial hairs. Ugh. As if the wrinkles aren't bad enough. Lorie and I laugh all the time about aging and all the fabulous things we are experiencing in our thirties. The least glamorous of them all is facial hair.
We could not stop laughing. But in all seriousness, we may not like to talk about it, but who wants to look like a wooly mammoth? LOL! Not ME!
Olay has a super neat new product called New Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo.
It is a uniquely formulated two-step system designed to gently, yet effectively remove unwanted facial hair, leaving skin smooth, conditioned, and visibly hair free. This gentle hair removal system contains a Skin Guarding Balm, applied before the removal cream, that hydrates the skin to minimize irritation, redness, and other tell-tale signs associated with hair removal creams.

The first step is to apply the Skin Guarding Balm.
Here I am applying it to my upper lip. You had no idea you would get so up-close and personal with me today did you?
So here she is putting the Skin Guarding Balm on...
We decided to just get crazy and ended up doing our 'staches, chins, and side burns. LOL.
After applying and rubbing in the Skin Guarding Balm, you apply the Hair Removal Cream.

Pretty hairless Mammas! LOL! In all seriousness, Lorie and I were amazed at how much hair was removed with the product. Our make-up goes on MARVELOUSLY, and we LOVE how smooth our skin is. I simplify my beauty routine by conditioning my hair and wearing it natural instead of spending a lot of time with the blow dryer. I also use light makeup instead of spending a lot of time applying it too heavy.

I moisturize in the shower and I don;t wear makeup which keeps it simple
I use a mineral powder instead of liquid foundation. I find it is faster to blend.
I make sure to wash my face everynight so I don't have to spend a ton of time on makeup when I have blemishes!

As I'm older; my skin is dry day and night - so lot's of moisturizer is needed.

I hate wearing heavy foundations (I find that I don't need that much coverage anyways), so I wear a tinted moisturizer with SPF. no need to apply a separate sunscreen!

I use makeup remover wipes (Neutrogena is great) when I travel - fast and lightweight to carry. I love Eliz. Arden's 8 hr. Lip Protection Stick in Berry, a lovely sheer red, when there's no time to do the whole lipstick/liner thing.
I would love to try this new hair removal product - others I've tried leave my skin sore and then it breaks out in a couple of days! Late 60's is far too old for acne!!!!

I simplify my beauty routine by keeping thing simple and to the minimal. Clean, moisturize and that's it. Once a week, a simple mask at home and that's about it. I love my routine because it works for me and I'm able to keep it consistence.

I use my facial cleanser in the shower at night, Braid my hair before bed so it has waves in the morning use my Olay nighttime regenerist cream. I have no need for foundation because my face stays moist. Add a little mascara and some lip gloss and i'm out the door, 5 min morning.

I use Olay moisturizer, mineral makeup, sunscreen, Fake Bake tanning spray (instead of tanning bed) eat lots of fruits & veggies, drink lots of water. It leaves a natural glow that I can add a little mascara & lip gloss (busy momma/wife) & feel good about myself! Also, I love adding a cute belt to basically any shirt I wear (quick & easy throw together) & I actually can be happy with myself! My hubby & daughter are my great supporters to let me know I don't need any make up. They do tease me about my facial hair though-when we're out somewhere. Which gets pretty embarassing! My daughter just told me tonight, "Mommy you need to get rid of your mustache!" WOW! Too many bad experiences to do so!
